William H. Barb, 67, well-known resident of Mapletown, died at his home at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, March 7, following a serious illness of two days.
A son of the late John W. and Louisa Mestrezat Barb, the deceased was born Oct. 30, 1866 at Mapletown, where he resided all his life. He ran a store there for a number of years and in later life was employed as a bookkeeper by a coal company.
Mr. Barb was a member of the Mapletown Methodist Church, the Masontown Masonic Lodge, and the Pittsburgh Consistory, Syria Twmple. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the Army.
