John E. Pritchett Of Mathews Dies
Mathews, Aug. 30 - John E. Pritchett, 70, of Peary, Mathews county, died Tuesday after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Lee Pritchett; a daughter, Mrs. Malcolm Owens of Susan; two sons, John C. Pritchett of Port Haywood and Herman Lee Pritchett of San Truce, Puerto Rico; three sisters, Mrs. William Harrison and Mrs. Clara Dow, both of Port Haywood, and Mrs. Lindsay Armistead of Susan; one brother, George of Bavon and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Samuel L. Dumbille, pastor of the Mathews charge of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be made in St. Paul's cemetery near Susan.
