LINDA VIRGINIA RIDGE BARTLES,76, of Hagerstown passed away November 11, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 3, 1942 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Melvin G. and Mae A. Ridge.
Linda was a 1960 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. Linda held a special place in her heart for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She was an active member of Evangel Baptist Church, a member of the Shunammite Ladies at Evangel Baptist Church and an American Legion Gold Star Member Post 42.
In addition to her sister, Gladys M. Ridge, she is survived by her children, Kathy Ann Bartles Barrett and Clyde Richard Bartles, Jr., and one sister-in-law, Sarah Robinson. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and by numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to Clyde Richard Bartles, Sr., her husband of 49 years, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacquelyn Sue Bartles and Robyn Lynn (Bartles) Butler and siblings, Vincent Ray Ridge, Lauren M. Ridge and wife Alice, Kenneth Lee Ridge, D. Elaine Sipes and husband Leroy, and Zelda Ridge Hoover and husband Charlie.
There will be a viewing at Evangel Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow. Graveside services will be held at Broadfording Cemetery. Arrangements by the Minnich Funeral Home.
