Funeral services for Christopher Carter, 89 of Texas City formerly of Cedar Lake will be Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake with Pastor Kenneth Bree, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Texas. He died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Bay Oaks Healthcare Center in Texas City, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. He is survived by his brothers, Robert Carter (Charlene) and Monroe Carter both of Hitchcock, host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Carter, Rodney Carter, Ulysses Bivens, Jr., Jeffery Spencer, Kevin Spencer and David Spencer. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Johnson, Michael Robinson, Donald Ray Carter, Bahara Sanders, Dwayne Robinson, Jerome Robinson, Raymond Carter, George Spencer and Willie Carter, Jr. Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dixon Funeral Home in Brazoria.
