Albert LeRoy Strong Sr., 79, of 925 S. Walnut St., president of the A.L. Strong and Son Sheet Metal since 1925, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday, March 4, 1963, at the Sunny Acres Rest Home, Petersburg.

He was born in Hancock County, the son of Clarence and Katie Strong.

Mr. Strong was a member of the First Methodist Church, Springfield Lodge No. 4, AF&AM and past president of the Illinois Sheet Metal Association.

Surviving are his widow, Grace C.; one daughter, Mrs. H.R. Poff, of Springfield; three sisters, Mrs. Rubie Bright and Mrs. Hurle Myers, both of LaHarpe; Mrs. Grace Bright, of Fountain Green; one brother, Earl, of LaHarpe; and two grandsons.

Services were at Smith Funeral Chapel.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
