Born in Mt. Morris, NY on June 6, 1908, a son of the late Adam S. and Isabelle M. (Branch) Wolslegel . Edward had lived in East Greenwich and Cranston before moving to the South County area.
He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and a decorated veteran of WW II serving in the US Army. Edward was an accomplished musician and played piano in bands throughout New England. He worked as a signalman for the railroad and retired as a state employee at URI in the late 1970s. Edward enjoyed gardening and his music.
Edward is survived by eight nieces and nephews and their families as well as many dear neighbors. He was the brother of the late Walter W., Donald J., Julian A. Wolslegel , and Frances M. McGiveney.
The funeral will originate at the Forbes Funeral Home, 28 Columbia St., Wakefield on Saturday, A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Francis Church. Wakefield. Burial with full Military Honors followed in St. Francis Cemetery. Peace Dale.
