Census reports prior to 1910 gives marital status as "single". 1910 census gives her status as "widowed" and gives her married surname as "Kindred". Death certificate says "single" and gives her surname as "Hatfield". Informant on death certificate is her bachelor brother Noah Hatfield with whom she lived the last 17+ years of her life. Other than 1910 census, there is no record that Nancy Hatfield was married to anyone. Her tombstone shows "Hatfield" as her surname;

OBITUARY, "The Harriman Record", 4 Oct 1917....

“DEATHS. Miss Nancy C. Hatfield. Miss Nancy C. Hatfield, aged 64, died at the home of her brother, Noah HATFIELD at Honeycut station, September 29th from heart and stomach trouble. The funeral service were conducted by Rev. J. N. OSBOURNE Monday and the remains were brought here and transferred to Tennessee Central and taken to Crab Orchard where interment was made in the Haley cemetery. Miss HATFIELD was member of the Baptist Church and was highly respected by her acquaintances.”
