“Noah M. HATFIELD. Was born on May 31, 1844 in Roane County, near Oliver Springs, and passed away at the home of his niece, Mrs. Milton GRAY, in Morgan County, July 14, 1923, at 6 o’clock. Mr. HATFIELD professed religion and joined the Baptist church at Salem, Cumberland county, in 1892, and was a consistent and faithful member to the day of his death. He is survived by two brothers, William G., of White county, and L.B., of Putnam county, and sister, Mrs. Susan McGUFFEY, of Morgan county. Mr. J.E. HATFIELD and Mr. J.H. HATFIELD, of Harriman are nephews of his. The remains of Mr. HATFIELD were laid to rest in Haley’s graveyard, Cumberland county, near Crab Orchard.”
