To be absent in the body, is to be present in Christ." -2 Corinthians 5 On the morning of October 23, 2018 Heaven welcomed a faithful servant into its gates. Bill Williams, or Gip as he was known by his family, was greeted in Heaven by his parents Leander Harvey and Ethel Mae Williams, his sister Evelyn Ridenauer, and brother Don Williams. Bill was born on November 19, 1929 in Woodward, Oklahoma. He served our country in the military from 1947-1953 as an Army Sergeant. On November 8, 1958, he married the love of his life, Martha Marie Wanner. Together they raised two daughters Vicki and Annette. He worked for Amoco for 30 years, followed by a brief "retirement", then worked for Big Bear Oilfield Services for another 12 years before officially retiring. He is survived by his daughter Vicki Roberts and her children Michael Roberts and Michelle Miears, his daughter Annette Smith, her husband Gary Smith, and their children Jerod Houser, Justin Houser and his wife Alex, Kellie Smith and Aaron Smith. He will forever be remembered by his family as our "rock!" We want to thank the angels from Hospice of Lubbock for their compassionate care and all of our precious family and friends that helped us through this journey. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, at 2:00 pm, at George Price Funeral Home Chapel, with Michael Holster officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery.
