Charlotte Louisa Rominger was the seventh of ten known children of Michael Rominger (1780-1824) and Christina Ebert Rominger (1782-1844), who married 23 Oct 1804 at Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina.

Some records indicate a birth year of 1816 for Charlotte, does anyone know what year is correct?

Charlotte married Jacob Charles (1810-1878) in c1835 at presumably Stokes County, North Carolina though a marriage record can't be located. Charlotte and Jacob were the parents of nine known children, namely:

1. Emily L. Charles Leight (1836-1910)
2. Michael Edward Charles (1840-1921)
3. Romulus A. Charles (1842-1912)
4. Nathaniel Landis Charles (1843-1926)
5. Martin L. Charles (1846-1880)
6. William Turner Charles (1848-1868)
7. Phebe Francisca Charles Fiddler (1851-1919)
8. Jacob Edwin Charles (1854-1917)
9. Victoria C. Charles Haney (1857-1921)

Some records list a tenth child, Madison Charles, but if so he probably died young.
