Jim, 64, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Memorial services at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.

Jim, the son of John Milton and Alberta Amanda (Harper) Bradford, was born November 4, 1947, in Hampton, Iowa. He graduated from SCI High in Cedar Falls in 1965. He was united in marriage with Sandra Craig on March 1, 1975, in Newton.

Jim worked as a truck driver and spent several years driving for Warren Transport. He had served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of AmVets Iowa Post #49 and the Knights of Columbus. Jim enjoyed country music, taking trips to Branson with his wife, Sandra, and traveling. Recently, he took joy in connecting with friends on Facebook. Most of all, Jim enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

Those left to honor Jim's memory include his wife, Sandra of Altoona; two daughters, Lynette Robinson of Statesboro, Georgia, and Michelle Bradford of Dike, Iowa; three grandchildren: Trey and Nick Robinson of Statesboro, and Cole Hoing of Dike; his sister, Jackie Bradford of Cedar Falls; his sisters-in-law: Mary Lou Sclair of WA, Beverly Warren of TN, Thelma Craig of IL, Vicki (Jim) Golik of Newton, and Sally (Dan) Vasquez of Newton; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
