Mrs. Anna Wishart Cook, of 249 North Jefferson avenue, died October 2, at 9 p. m. at the home of her grandson, Ralph McClain, Grant street, Houston. She had been in usual health and succumbed to a heart attack.
The deceased was born in North Strabane township July 25, 1879, the daughter of the lute Dr. Robert and, Barbara Horn Wishart. She was married to the late Wylie V. Cook at Center Church section May 9, 1889. The deceased, a member of the Chartiers U. P. church, and a member of the class of Ruth and Lydia of that, church, had lived in this community all her life and is well known and highly respected.
She is survived by the following; A son, Lawrence T. Cook, Donaldson's Crossroads; one daughter, Elsie, wife of W. G. McClain, Houston; three grandchildren and and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held from the Hinton & Griffith funeral home. Thursday. October 5, at 2 P. m., in charge of the Rev. Dr., J. Reade McCrory. Burial will be in the Oak Spring cemetery.
