Arthur Lee “Dick” Smith, 101, of Waterloo passed away Monday, October 15, 2018.
Dick was a native of Lauderdale County and a member of Oak Grove Pentecostal Church.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years Verdi Mae Allison Smith, parents, Susie Terry Smith and Jimmy Ottis Smith and brothers and sisters, James Smith, Dollie Smith, Frances Crawford, Hoss Smith, Bill Smith, Ray Smith, Helen Tirey, Delmer Smith.
Dick was survived by his sons, Leon Smith (Margaret), Travis Smith (Carol), Ricky Smith (Janet) all of Waterloo; daughters, Evelyn Gentry (Bobby), Wanda Hart, Margie Russell (Jerry Franks, Kay Wood (Ricky) all of Waterloo; brothers, Roland Smith Tyronza, Arkansas, Junior Smith Osceola, Indiana; sister, Beadie Kelley Florence; 14 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 17th from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 18, 2018 at Oak Grove Pentecostal Church with Brother Steve Bender officiating. He will lie-in-state from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Robert English, Jason Wood, Jarred Bevis, Kristopher Bevis, Charles Smith, Jr., Dustin Smith, Honorary pallbearers will be Rayburn Allison, Joey Wood, and Dusty Smith.
