She was born April 2, 1954 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Raymond Leimgruber, Sr. and Kathleen (Hunt) Whitticar. She married Roger VanScoder and they were later divorced.
Linda was a 1972 graduate of McComb High School and worked for over 20 years at the former Lamson Sessions/Thomas & Betts Factory in Bowling Green, Ohio as a press operator.
Linda loved her family and cherished her opportunities to spoil her grandchildren. She would take time to crochet, make and collect dolls and watch NASCAR races on the weekends. Over the years she enjoyed dancing and camping. She was a past member of the North Baltimore Eagles Lodge.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Terri) VanScoder, Hoytville; daughter, Sandra "Sandy" (Joe Clark) VanScoder, Bowling Green; step son, Chad (Nicole) McCartney, Bucyrus, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Alexis Decker (Drew McGuire); Chase VanScoder; Nicole (Nick) Thomas; great grandson, Owen; 4 step grandchildren, Shawndra Powell; Alexandria McCartney; Arrianna McCartney; Alyssa McCartney; 3 step great grandchildren, Toryn; Merah; Emmett; and sister, Deborah Fackler, Custer, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Leimgruber, Sr.; mother and step father, Kathleen and Nelson Whitticar; sister, Evelyn Hathaway and brothers, Raymond "Junior" Leimgruber, Jr. and Roger Leimgruber.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Russell Teegardin officating. Burial will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Donations may be directed to the family in care of the funeral home.
