Phyllis R. Cummins, 88, of Logansport, passed away Saturday September 29, 2018 at 4:14 am in McKinney Place.

Born June 2, 1930 in Cass County, IN to the late Ralph and Della (Azbell) Applegate. On August 19, 1961 in Hoover, IN she married Thomas E. Cummins who preceded her in death on February 13, 2009.

Phyllis retired from General Tire in 1986 after 31 years of service.

Survivors include one son, Ray (Linda) Halterman, South Bend; two step sons, Thomas A. (Jean) Cummins, Burlington, NC; Steven Cummins, Mt. Hope, West Virginia; one step daughter, Donetta (Kenny) Ellis, Logansport; four grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded in death.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday October 3, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Tommy Cummins officiating. Entombment will be in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 5 – 8 pm Tuesday in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
