Hilda Diener was born on February 26, 1905 on a farm near Marysville, Kansas to Charles and Mary Neuman Blocker. She attended country school and later worked in general stores. She and Carl Diener were married in Marysville, Kansas on January 25, 1938. Following their marriage they farmed near Marcus, Iowa until 1950, when they moved on a farm near Hadley, Minnesota. They continued farming until their retirement in 1973. They continued living on the farm until they became residents of Slayton Manor Nursing Home in January 1995. Carl died on February 4, 1995. Hilda passed away at Slayton Manor on November 5, 1995 at the age of 90. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl, and great grandson Dillan, a brother and five sisters.
