Bernice was born on the family farm, south of Romney, IN, on October 18, 1924. She was one of fourteen children, which included her twin brother, Bernard. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Sarah (Gentry) Brunton. Bernice was raised on the family farm south of Romney and graduated from Romney High School in 1944. She has resided in Riverside since 1960.
Bernice was a homemaker and assisted her husband in farming. She was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church and the Ladies Aide of the church in Independence. She enjoyed raising a vegetable garden and canning. She was also noted for her parenting skills with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On December 31, 1958, Bernice married Edgar Lee Munson in West Point, IN. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2002.
She leaves behind two sons; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven sisters and six brothers, which included her twin brother.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica on Friday, September 28th, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 29th, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dan Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
