Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Elkhorn, Nebraska.

John Russell Buhl
John Russell Buhl, age 26, passed away August 1st, in the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont. He was born September 28, 1931, at North Bend, Nebraska.

John attended Fremont High School and served in the United States Army. For the past several years he had been helping his father farm near Fremont. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Fremont where he was confirmed.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Buhl of Fremont, Route 3; one brother, Carl Jr. of Valley, Nebraska; 3 sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mary) Nimerichter of Fremont, Route 3, Mrs. Edward (Joyce) Lewis of Waterloo and Miss Carol Jean of Fremont, Route 3; Grandmother, Mrs. Mary Buhl of Fremont and Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. K. Tucker of Waterloo.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, August 3, at 2 pm from the Swanson Funeral Home in Valley with the Rev. Presley Robinson of Fremont officiating. Mrs. David C. Weldon sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Sometime We'll Understand", accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Dora Ritner.

Pallbearers were H. V. Gaines, Floyd Haney, George I. Haney, Duane Hindmarsh, Dean Hoffman and Francis LeGrand.

Swanson Funeral Home of Valley was in charge of arrangements.
