Mary Lou Nimerichter, 84, passed peacefully on November 20 after a courageous battle with cancer. She lived a happy and full life and felt blessed to have such a wonderful family and so many dear friends.

A resident of Aurora for 50 years, Mary Lou grew up in Fremont, Nebraska. She was raised on a farm but moved to the big city of Omaha to attend beauty school. There she met the love of her life, Fred Nimerichter. They were married for 64 years. They raised two daughters in Nebraska and moved to Colorado in 1967 where they delightfully added a third daughter to their family two years later.

Mary Lou was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great pride in providing a loving, delicious, and meticulous home for her family. A day never passed when her husband, daughters, and grandchildren did not feel loved. Her enthusiasm, humor, guidance, and affection will be missed.
Mary Lou’s strong faith and discipline were inspiring. She was active at her church, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, served as a volunteer at the Aurora Community Hospital, and provided a helping hand to her friends and family whenever needed.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Fred Nimerichter; daughters Cynthia Nimerichter and her husband Ted Worcester, Rhonda Nimerichter, and Jodee Nimerichter and husband Gaspard Louis; sisters Joyce Lewis and Carol Capps; grandchildren Chaz and Evan Matsumoto and Dahlia and Preston Louis; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Carl and Bernita Buhl; brothers Carl Dean Buhl and John Buhl; brother-in-laws Ed Lewis and Charles Dean; sister-in-law Joann Fritz; nephew Brad Lewis; great nephew Andrew Lewis; and son-in-law Tony Valdez.

The family would like to thank extended family and friends for their generosity and support and the wonderful Porter Hospice Staff for their tender care.
