CLINTON - Marvin F. Watkins, 83, a retired business owner, died of heart failure Wednesday at Methodist Medical Center in Jackson.

Services are 1:30 p.m. today at Wright Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. Visitation is after 11 a.m. today.

Mr. Watkins, a Jackson native, was member of Calvary Baptist Church. He made his home in Clinton for several years and was the retired owner of Swan Cleaners. He was a member of James A. Myers Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner with the Wahabi Temple. He was a member of the Clinton Shrine Club and Loyal Order of the Moose. He was a Scottish Rite Mason and was an avid golfer.

Survivors include: wife, Lillian; daughter, Kay Watkins of Long Beach; son, William "Bill" Watkins of Jackson; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
