Mrs. Watkins Dies In Hospital; Funeral Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. J. N. Watkins, 87, of 1038 Glenwood Street, will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. from Wright and Ferguson Chapel, with Dr. Joe H. Tuten, her pastor, officiating, assisted by Dr. Fuller B. Saunders, pastor of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. She died early Monday morning at Mississippi Baptist Hospital, after a long illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Hinds County and Jackson, she was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by five sons, Homer Watkins, with whom she made her home, E. F. WAtkins, Marvin Watkins, all of Jackson, J. W. Watkins of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Carroll Watkins of Lake Charles, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Boteler of Plain and Mrs. Elise Farmer of Jackson; two brothers, W. L. Lowe and A. S. Lowe, both of Jackson; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ray Curtis, Edgar Mays, and four grandsons, Homer Watkins, Jr., Larry Watkins, Williams Watkins, and Frank Watkins.
