Mrs. Douglas was born in Coffee County on April 22, 1883 the daughter of George and Cindy Ward Chaney. She was married on October 25, 1900, and was a member of the Church of God in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of God in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Bill New and the Rev. Mr. Cook officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald with Harris & Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Evans, of McRae, Georgia; five sons, Homer Douglas and Lester Douglas, of Macon, Georgia; Sylvester Douglas of Fitzgerald, Georgia; Lonnie Douglas of Thomaston, Georgia, and Ellie Douglas of Cochran, Georgia; 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
