BASIC INFO: Josiah Cleveland Sr. (1666-1709) was born in Woburn, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the son of Moses Cleveland (1620-1702) and his wife Ann Winn Cleveland (1626-1682). About 1689, at Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Josiah married Mary Bates (1667-1743). Josiah Cleveland died in 1709 in Canterbury, Connecticut. It is unknown where Josiah is buried, but it is assumed he is buried with his wife in the Cleaveland Cemetery ... although no stone has been found for either.
