Raymond Hardy Onley, Sr., passed away on January 1, 1971, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Baltimore, MD. He was born on July 17, 1913, the son of Lottie (Hardy) Onley and William E. Onley.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Laura Magdalene (Holland) Onley; two sons, Raymond Hardy Onley, Jr., and Curtis Garnell Onley; six daughters, Marie Antionette Payne, Elsie Lee Curtis, Earnestine E. Onley, Renee D., Karen L., and Marsha Kay Matthews; two stepsons, Ronald J., and Michael W. Marshall; one foster son, Spencer Lancaster; one brother, Willaim James Onley; five sisters, Virginia McGlaun, Geneva Young, Christine Bowens, Earnestine Harris, and Evelyn Holland; 15 grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Viewing held at M. T. Malvan Funeral Home. Funeral services held at Pleast Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Marbury, MD. Interment in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
