BRUNSWICK, Md. - Mary Evelyn Holland, 67, of 1100 Peach Orchard Lane, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore.
Born Nov. 19, 1932, in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late William Ernest and Lottie Ellen Hardy Onley.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Louis Quenton Holland Sr.
She retired as a senior analyst for the National Geographic Society in Gaithersburg, Md.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Brunswick.
She is survived by
three daughters,
Faye H. Williams of Brunswick,
Evelyn B. Williams and
Rhonda M. Holland, both of Frederick, Md.;
one son, Louis Q. Holland Jr. of Frederick;
one sister, Earnestine E. Harris of Brunswick;
one brother, William James Onley of Brunswick;
nine grandchildren; and
six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
a son, Dana R. Holland;
three sisters,
L. Virginia Christenson,
L. Geneva Young and
A. Christine Bowins;
six brothers,
Raymond H. Onley,
Arthur E. Onley,
George A. Onley,
Stanley M. Onley,
Clarence B. Onley and
John Edward Onley; and
one grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Petersville, Md., with the Rev. Lawrence J. Gesy as celebrant. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Frederick.
The family will receive friends at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., with a Christian Wake Service at 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open Tuesday from 9 a.m.
