Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27 in the Bountiful Cemetery, for Mrs. Catherine Willey Pearson. A native of Bountiful, Mrs. Pearson has been living in Oakland, California. She died last Tuesday of heart trouble.
Born in Bountiful in 1877, she is a daughter of William Wallace Willey and Nancy J. Tolman. She married George W. Pearson in Bountiful. He died in 1947.
Mrs. Pearson was active in Relief Society and Primary organizations in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a former chief telephone operator.
Survivors include two daughters and one son: Mrs. Trieste Hall and Mrs. Catherine Cullenbaum, Oakland, California; Denton Pearson, Portland, Oregon; two sisters and four brothers: Mrs. Alice W. Barlow, Clearfield, and Mrs. Edna Tribe, Ogden, Utah; W.W. Willey and V.C. Willey, Bountiful; Dr. R.T. Willey, Salt Lake City and Rudger Willey, Miami, Florida.
