Obituary: Mrs. Charles (Lulu M.) Abbott, 97, of 125 North Edward Street died at 1051am Friday at Mary Anns Nursing Home. Private funeral services will be held at 1pm Sunday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5-7pm Saturday. Burial will be in the Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta. Mrs. Abbott was born in Havana, a daughter of Kyle M. and Mary Elizabeth Brown Curry. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She married Charles J. H. Abbott March 14, 1895. Surviving are daughters, Alma Abbott and Mrs. RD (Lillian) Carter, both of Decatur; Mrs. RK (Lucille) Graybill of Quincy; son, Harold of Decatur; sister, Mrs. Grover (Myrtle) Ennis of Largo, Florida; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter. One son preceded her in death.
