Delia Poole White, 91, formerly of 1817 Love Springs Road, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Loyd C. White and daughter of the late Shuford M. Poole and Gertrude McCraw Poole.
She retired from Oxford Industries and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She loved sewing, cooking, flowers, gardening and taking care of her family.
Surviving are a son, Warren Edward White of Gaffney; a daughter, Jane White Grigg and husband, Thomas of Buford, Ga.; a brother, Jim Poole and wife, Janice of Spartanburg, S.C.; two sisters, Jackie Herlong and husband, Joe of Greer, S.C. and Mary Ann Clary of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Loyd Gregory White of Atlanta, GAa. Kelly White Morris and husband, Grant of Gaffney, Sarah Grigg of Easley, S.C., and Russell Grigg and family of Atlanta, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Abby Morris, Ally Morris; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Dr. Ed Poole, John T. Poole, Charles Poole and Robert Poole, a sister, Hazel Goudelock, and a daughter-in-law, Pamela Keller White.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Terry Duvall officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
