MRS. MARTHA EVANS PASSES AWAY.
A notable coincidence is the death of a brother and sister, one 75 and the other 85 which occurred within a few hours in the neighboring towns of Osceola and Luxora yesterday, both having been lifelong residents of Mississippi County.
F. B. Hale, prominent Osceola planter died at his Osceola home yesterday morning at 11:30 and at 4:30 o’clock in the afternoon his sister, Mrs. Martha Evans aged eighty-five years passed away at the home of her son, Sidney Evans in Luxora.
Funeral services for Mrs. Evans will be conducted at 3:30 o’clock this afternoon at the Baptist Church in Luxora, with Rev. H. H. McGinty, pastor of the First Baptist Church, of Osceola in charge. Interment will follow in Calhoun Cemetery, in Luxora.
