Services Held In Nixon For Mrs. Martin
Funeral services were held Monday at 3 p.m. from the Finch funeral home in Nixon for Mrs.Rachel Hensley Martin, 86, who died in a Floresville Hospital Sunday.
The Rev. Clinton Harris, pastor of the First United Methodist church of Nixon, and the Rev. W. S. Ezell, retired Methodist minister, officiated at the rites with burial following in the Nixon cemetery.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Nixon United Methodist church and a 50 year member of the Nixon Order of the Eastern Star No. 339.
Survivors are one son, James Terrell Martin, Jr., three daughters, Mrs. Jack Dunn, Mrs, Dee Montgomery and Mrs. Thomas Polan, all of Nixon; two brothers, Carroll Hensley of Nixon, Briggs Hensley of Tuleta; two sisters, Mrs. Alton Hewell of Nixon, Mrs. Ellen Luedecke of Cuero; eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
