Viola Maxine Flaherty “Sally”, 76, of Leavenworth, KS died Sun., Oct. 30, 2016 at her home. Visitation 9 to 11 am, Sat., Nov. 5, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS and Graveside service to follow at 11:30 am, Sat., Nov. 5, at the Edwardsville Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Neuroblastoma Foundation in care of the funeral home. Sally was born on Jan. 18, 1940 in Turner, KS and has lived in rural Leavenworth county since 1969. She had worked for a short time for Western Sizzlin' in Lansing, KS and for the Tonganoxie Schools in food service. She was a excellent cook and baker, making the best meals. She enjoyed traveling with her family and especially with the Turner High School Class of 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Dorothy Winegar. And is survived by her husband of 59 years of the home. One son of Port Angeles, WA and two daughters both of Leavenworth, KS. Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
