Menhard Lebovitz, 74, a master tailor in his native Czechoslovakia who survived Russian labor camps after the start of World War II, died Wednesday in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lebovitz, 2736 N. 60 th St. Scottsdale, was the only survivor of 26 family members imprisoned at Auschwitz and Buchenwald. He came to Phoenix in 1966 from Chicago and for 10 years operated Manny`s Custom Tailoring in Tower Plaza Mall.
Survivors include his wife Shirley, children, Magda Willinger and Dr. Sheldon Lebovitz, a brother, three grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
