Born Aug. 28. 1906, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late George and Mina Swope Lucas.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Salem Baptist Church.
She was the widow of W.L. Murphy.
Survivors include three brothers, Virgil D. Lucas, Lester B. Lucas and Norman J. Lucas, all of Indianapolis; three sisters, Helen Dunn and Lucille Delk, both of Mount Salem, and Elizabeth Gritton of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Louise Murphy.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael Mullins. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence and Roy Weaver, Dallas Gritton, Cloyd Durham, Carl Wilder and Otis Delk.
