Nancy Pearl Crowe Griffin, 78 years of age, of Hustonville, Kentucky, departed this life and passed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ with her family at her side on Friday, August 10th, 2018. This ended her struggle with late stage cancer.


Nancy was born on September 26th, 1939, she was one of ten children born to the late Charlie and Sara Turpin Crowe of Casey County, Kentucky. Gardening, quilting, reading her Bible, singing gospel music and playing her guitar were among many things that Nancy loved. She was a member of Maxey Valley Gospel Singers and a member of Ellisburg Baptist Church.


Nancy was survived by three sons, Larry (and Charlotte Nolan) Griffin, Kenny (and Melonie Trent) Griffin, and Danny (and Mary Trent) Griffin; one daughter, Carolyn (and Ronnie) Brown; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, J.T. (and Mildred) Crowe and Donnie (and Connie) Crowe; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Crowe and Sara Crowe; her loving husband of 53 years, Elzie Lee Griffin; as well as her brothers, sisters, granddaughter, and numerous friends.


Nancy was a friend to all, loved all children, and proudly served her Lord and Savior. She is greatly missed, but her family rejoices in her rest from her struggle, and her new life in Heaven with those she loved.


A private viewing was held at the W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home on Monday, August 13th, 2018 with memorial services for the public held at the Hall Hill Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018. It was Nancy's desire that her body be cremated, which she arranged with W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home before her death, and that her ashes be returned to the Earth alongside her husband.


Burial followed in a private family cemetery called the Hall Hill Cemetery on HWY 906 in Hustonville, Kentucky.
