Alma Sisson Ivey, age 81, of Dalton, passed away August 8, 2018 at her daughters home in Forsyth, GA surrounded by her family. Alma was employed by Shaw Industries for many years where she worked as an operator. Alma was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. She loved Jehovah with her whole heart and only missed listening to 3 meetings during her illness. Alma loved to fish, paint, play games on her computer and do crossword puzzles. She fell in love with a rescue kitten that she named “Tiger”, which shocked everyone who knew her because she never ever liked cats. Her favorite foods were fried catfish and grilled steak, cooked by her son-in-law and blue bell ice cream, which she ate everyday until the day she died. She loved her family dearly. Especially her two grandchildren, who were the light in her eyes. She talked to her brother and sisters countless times per day and was able to tell each of them, she loved them, before she passed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Sisson and Rossie Cline; her brother, Charles Cline. Alma is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Ivey and Angela and Clinton Bullock; grandchildren, Bailey Ivey and Brock Hulsey; brother, Edward Cline; sisters, Ann Batey, Beatrice McCamy and Ada Stallard; countless nieces and nephews and her beloved baby “Tiger”. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Brother Patrick Stapleton officiating. Burial will follow at the Colonial Hills Cemetery.
