Leslie C. "Uncle Les" Dorn, 87, of Edgerton, WI, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Janesville. Uncle Les was born on September 1, 1930 in Fulton Township to the late Carl and Laura (Fiddler) Dorn. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Germany for 18 months in the 40th Tank Battalion until April, 1953. When he returned, he would buy his own farm in 1955 and farmed until 2012. On April 8, 1961, Les would marry Mary Hanlon at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Janesville. He enjoyed spending time with relatives and friends when he would share stories, watch movies, or cheer for the Green Bay Packers. Uncle Les is survived by 3 sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Mary Dorn on July 24, 1988; daughter: Ann Marie; sisters: Margaret Kildow, Delores Hinton. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Edgerton with Rev. Carl Seeger officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Janesville with Military Rites. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the start of the services. Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Edgerton are assisting the family with arrangements.
