Bertha C. Robbins, 84, died yesterday at the home of her son, Samuel C. Robbins, 620 Windham street. She had been ill for two months. A native of Hartford, Conn., where she was reared and married, Mrs. Robbins lived for 50 years at Great Falls, Mont., before moving to Santa Cruz five years ago on the retirement of her husband, Samuel B. Robbins, who died in June, 1948. He was a civil engineer with the bureau of reclamation and also operated a large ranch. Mrs. Robbins was a member of the First Congregational church, the Santa Cruz chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the library section of the American Association of University Women, and the Young Women's Christian Association. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at White's chapel, Rev. Ed Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood cemetery.
