Henry was a son of Enoch Brandenburg and his first wife, Jane W. Miller. Henry served in the Civil War. He was mustered in at Middleport, Illinois on August 18, 1862. He served in Company B, 113th Infantry. Henry died at the Battle of Vicksburg.
