Adrienne Young Dies at 91
ST. ANTHONY - Mrs. Adrienne Wilson Young, 91, widow of Charles Young and a pioneer of the Twin Groves area, died Sunday afternoon at her home following lingering illness.
She was born on March 19, 1880, in Fairview, Sanpete County, Utah the daughter of Henry and Adrienne Barlow Wilson who were pioneers of the Dixie Country.
She started her schooling in Sanpete, and later her family moved to Idaho where she was 12 year old. In 1892 her family homesteaded land in the Twin Groves area where she attending the first school held in that district taught by Anna Reese Gordon. She was active in the LDS Church and was sustained as secretary of the Twin Groves Sunday School at the age of 13 a position she held until 1902, the Twin Groves Relief Society secretary of the Yellowstone Stake Relief Society and as ward clerk in the Young Branch. She was a Sunday School teacher, geology teacher, worked on the Stake Primary board and was a member of the Yellowstone Stake Relief Society for 16 years. She was married to Charles Young on June 24, 1809, in St. Anthony. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple on Feb 12, 1901. Mr. Young died in 1942. After his death she took care of her home, garden, and flowers for 22 years with the help of her sons and daughters. When her health began to fail she lived for one year with her daughter, Lela Crawford, in St. Anthony. in 1965, she moved to Burton to live with her daughter, Tresses KY. Heileson and has resided there since that time. Survivors include the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Heileson, Burton, Charles Leland Young, Blackfoot, Mrs. Crawford, Mrs. Glen (Clara) Stimpson, and James Curtis Young, all of St. Anthony; 22 grandchildren, 58 great - grandchildren; five great - great - grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hazel W. Duke, Burbank, Calif., Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Anthony, 1st-2nd LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Cleve M. Tibbitts of the 2nd Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Hansen Memorial Chapel Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. and at the chapel from noon until service time on Wednesday. Burial will be the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Hansen Funeral Home of St. Anthony.

St. Anthony - Funeral services for Adrienne Wilson Young, 91, who died June 20 in Burton were conducted June 23 at the St. Anthony First-Second LDS Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop Cleve M. Tibbitts. Family prayer was given by C. I. Young. Meditation and postlude music was played by Betty Tibbitts. The St. Anthony Second Ward Singing Mothers presented the sons "I know That My Redeemer Lives" and "Abide With Me." The invocation was give by Grant M. Heileson and the life history by Elva Swensen. Remarks were also given by Bishop Norman E. Nef, Bishop Lloyd Parrott and Bishop Cleve M. Tibbitts. Foster Upson offered the benediction and the dedicatory prayer was give by J. Curtis Young. Floral arrangements were under the direction of the Rexburg Seventh Ward Relief Society. Pallbearers were Dale Young, Blaine Young, Michael Farley, John Stimpson, Scott Stimpson, and Grant M. Heileson. Interment was in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Hansen Memorial Chapel..
