Ester, the wife of Mr. Herbert Copp, of Throop, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Parfrey, of this place, died Monday morning, August 19. She was a former resident of Moosic. . Mr. and Mrs. Copp' moved to Throop about three years ago, where they have built a new home. She had been ailing for the last two years and has been under Dr. Wehlau's care for some time. She thought a change of air might do her good, and had made arrangements to go to Harvey's Lake with her father and mother to spend some time. But when she got to her sister's in Moosic she was taken worse and Dr. G. B. Seamens was called and pronounced her trouble bright's disease of which she died. Mrs. Copp was loved by every one who knew her, as she was of a cheerful disposition. In time of trouble she was always ready to do what she could. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church of this place, at which place her funeral services will take place on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the home of her sister, Mrs. James T. Brown, jr. Interment will be made in the Marcy cemetery, Duryea. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Harry Cone of New York, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Parfrey; also two brothers, Mr. A. T. Parfrey, of Throop, and Mr. A. D. Parfrey, of Acambaro, Mexico, two sisters, Mrs. William Cole, of Dunmore, and Mrs. James T. Brown of this place.
