Ross B. Heilman Dies In Florida

Ross B. Heilman, former Elyria businessman and owner of the Marine Dining Room in Lorain, died at Clearwater, Fla., hospital yesterday evening. His death was due to a heart condition.

Mr. Heilman was born in Willard, Ohio, on January 29, 1889. Before opening the Marine Dining Room and moving to West Erie avenue in Lorain, he operated the U.S. Steel restaurants. he was owner of the Beachcomber night club at Clearwater and the Nautical hotel at St. Petersburg, Fla. A 32nd degree Mason, he was a Shriner and a member of Knights Templar.

Besides his wife, the former Elenora Merthe, Mr. Heilman leaves two sons, Hubert of Lorain and Robert of Clearwater, five grandchildren and a sister in Garrett, IInd. His mother, Mrs. William Heilman, died last November.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed. The body will arrive at the Schwartz Home for Funerals in Lorain on Thursday, and services will be held Friday.
