Born in Madison Nebraska to Frank Howard and Fredericka(Knapp)White. At the time of his death he still had 6 brothers and 6 sisters.
He married Huldah Mary Gates December 25 1925. My Mother was born in Lincoln, Nebraska June 17,1928. They packed the car with all they owned and moved to Corona California imediately after. California had jobs. They settled in Norco, CA on an acre of land bought for $700. It was located on 6th street.
He worked 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, at Sunkist Lemon Exchange fixing the machinery. When he came home at 11PM he would watch some TV and go to bed. He also kept a large garden, Chickens, rabbits, pigs and a cow named Bessie. Everything they ate came from this acreage except coffee, sugar and flour. He had his pipe tobacco, a old cat and a cocker spaniel.
Grandma was bringing him home from work when a drunk driver crossed the line and hit them head on. She broke bones in her neck and back, he was taken to Riverside Community hospital where he died 3 days later.
Death certificate says heart failure he died of overdose of insulin a drunk nurse gave him. When she finally read the chart she left the room and called for a doctor but it was too late.
