She attended Denfeld High School and was employed as a "Rosie the Riveter" in airplane manufacturing in Detroit during World War II. She was employed for 20 years with Northshore Manufacturing and in food service with the College of St. Scholastica prior to retiring in 1985. After retiring, she volunteered with Lake Haven Nursing Home for many years.
Mabel was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Bjorlin in 1972; and her second husband, Donald Bjorlin in 1985.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Wallace; son, Paul (Shari); sisters: Grace Miller, Edith Halverson, and Wilma Manthey; grandchildren: Kelly, Aislin, Jared, Rachael, Leah and Jeremy; and six great-grandchildren.
Interment in Oneota Cemetery.
