He was born April 30, 1945 in Shelbyville, to LeRoy and Thelma Faye(Engle)Aldridge.
He is survived by his sons, Eric(Liza)Aldridge of Brownsburg, and Terry(Katharine)Aldridge of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Hannah, Zachary, Abigail, Jacob Aldridge; great-grandchild, Lola; several cousins and sister, Ida Maye Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sister, Ester'Kaye'Goodwin, sister, Dorothy Allen and brothers, Laurel and Henry Aldridge.
Raye was a chemist at RCA as well as a carpenter. He loved to hike, canoe and being outdoors. He also enjoyed sciba diving and riding his Harley.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 s. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Brandon Sutton officiating.
Private burial services will be at a later date in Lewis Creek Cemetery.
