Ronald Keith Coatney, age 66, Lexington, husband of Linda (Shifflett) Coatney, died Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born March 4, 1952 in Carlisle, KY, he was the son of the late Lester Warren and Agnes (McKenzie) Coatney. He was a 1970 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, received his BA degree in Law Enforcement from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, was a real estate developer around the Cave Run Lake near Morehead, enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.

Survivors other than his wife include: one sister Dana (Garnie) Yeager of Harrodsburg; five nieces and nephews and 8 great-nieces and nephews. Other than his parents Keith was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Myers Coatney.
