Wanda Elaine Derryberry of Panola, Oklahoma died June 27, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas one day shy of her 77th birthday. Elaine was born June 28, 1941 in Red Oak, Oklahoma to Curtis and Ettie (Morgan) Adams. She graduated from Red Oak High School with the Class of 1959. Elaine married Eira Derryberry on February 20, 1960 in Rattan, New Mexico. She was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown. Following raising her children, Elaine worked outside the home in clerical and sales. Elaine was a faithful member of Panola Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Derryberry; parents, Curtis and Ettie Adams; brother, Ted Adams and sister-in-law, Myrtle Lee Adams; brothers-in-law, Albert Derryberry and Jack Fite. The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Panola Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Head officiating. The burial will follow at North Rock Creek Cemetery in Red Oak.
