IN MEMORY

On Tuesday, January 20th, the sweet spirit of Mrs. Odessa Reagan, wife of Mr. J.A. Reagan, fell asleep in Jesus. For several weeks she had been a sufferer of the dreaded disease, pneumonia, but she bore it with christian fortitude.

She was the daughter of Mr. A.Z. Brazelton of near Grove, but at the time of her death, she lived near Homer, Claiborne Parish.

She was twice married; in 1906 to Mr. John Taylor, only one child blessed this union; in 1910 she was married to Mr. J.A. Reagan. She leaves three children, husband, father, mother, one sister and one brother, with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her departure.

She was laid to rest in old Shady Grove Cemetery on Wednesday, January 21st, her funeral was conducted by Rev. A.G. Shankle in the presence of a large and sorrowing congregation, who met to honor her as one dearly loved by them all.

Toward the spot where she sleeps that "blessed sleep", husband, children, parents, brother and sister and friends will in sorrow make their lonely pilgrimage for a while and then some sweet day join her where the parting hour never comes.

Then dear friends, no intense longing, no calling out to "go home" any more, but your loved ones will greet you and be glad to welcome you to the joys of the home not built with hands. May there be no missing link in this home circle in the days intended to be the eternal reunion of those who have "loved and lost a while."

To the sorrowing ones we extend our sincere sympathy and point them to the One that doeth all things well.

Shady Grove Marriage

Mr. John Taylor and Miss Odessa Brazelton, the lovely daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brazelton, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony Sunday, June 17th, at Shady Grove church. The happy couple, with Miss Lena Kea and Mr. John Ward, the waiters, marched to the altar to the joyous peals of music rendered by Miss Clara Beople. The fair bride looked lovely in white ongandie and lace, while the groom wore a becoming suit of gray. Brother Mark Price, the pastor of Shady Grove church, officiated. After receiving heartiest of congratulations, the happy couple departed for Homer, where they go to visit relatives and friends. May their lives be full of sunshine, is the wish of
