Rev. Etril J. Leinbach, age 96, of Goshen, IN, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Goshen General Hospital where he had been a patient since November 11, 2006. Rev. Leinbach was born February 8, 1910 in Nappanee, IN. He had lived in Goshen since 1976 and had lived in Michigan for 20 years. On October 7, 1933 in Middlebury he married Wilma Pearl Pletcher, who survives. Also survived by two sons: Keith (Vi) Leinbach of Haven, KS, Dale (Edie) Leinbach of Toccoa, GA; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren. three half-sisters: Dorcas Snyder, of Goshen, Violet (John) Kaufman, of Goshen and Cora Askrin of Goshen; two half-brothers: Verlin Garber, of Boston, MA, Keith (Roma) Anglemyer of Wakarusa. Preceded by parents: Leander Garber and L. Anna Leinbach; one son, Glen Leinbach on October 15, 1969 and one grandson, Robert Leinbach; three half-sisters: Myrtle Shaum, Lovina Hershberger and Hazel Toney and one half-brother, Leroy Garber. Friends called at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 South Main Street, Goshen, IN 46526. Memorial Service Saturday, November 18. 2006 at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church with Pastors Terry Diener and Jeff Mumaw and family friend, Brooks Henry. There was a private family burial service at Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials to Mennonite Mission Network or Donor's choice. Rev. Leinbach was ordained in 1948; served 40 years at Moore Park Mennonite Church, Michigan; 8 years at Valparaiso Mennonite Church, retiring in 1976; was interim pastor 3 yrs. at Benton Mennonite Church and 6.5 years at Emma Mennonite Churches.
