He was born on November 19, 1935 in High Point, to the late Dudley and Lucy Kluttz Brewer. A resident of this area both early and late in life, he was a proud 1954 graduate of Allen Jay High School. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, and a retired Electrical Engineer. He was a member of Trindale Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon, and a Sunday school teacher. Charlie enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were a daughter, Deborah Brewer; his brothers, Dud, Bob, Bill, and Paul Brewer.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Proietti Panunzi Brewer; his son, Mike Brewer and his wife, Debbie; his sister, Dot Ballard, and a grandson, Matthew Brewer.
A service to celebrate Charlie's life will be held on Tuesday morning, June 26th, at 11 o'clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, with Pastor Tony Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 10:00 until 10:45 at the funeral home.
