Marston Alford, born 1903, died of severe bronchitis at age one, by Texas Death Certificate, Robertson County, one of the early death certificates of the State of Texas. Marston was the second child of Benjamin Franklin Alford and Lula Mae McCown Alford. Ben and Lula had ten children from 1902 to 1918, and daughter Frances in 1902 was the first child, followed by Marston in 1903 at Bald Prairie, Aubrey and Audrey at Comanche, Hazel in 1908 at Comanche, Cecil in 1910 in Taylor County, Johnnie Mae in 1913 in Taylor County, Mackie in 1915 at Easterly in Robertson County. James Alford (1918-2005) and the unnamed twin boy were born in Feb. 1918 at Bald Prairie.

Marston's grave is unmarked at Bald Prairie Cemetery, but he is next to his mother, Lula M. Alford (1881-1918, age 37), wife of B.F. Alford, as is the unnamed boy born Feb. 1918.

B.F. Alford (1882-1968) is buried at Merriman Cemetery, south of Ranger in Eastland County, where Audrey, Johnnie Mae, Mackie, and James M. Alford (1918-2005) are also buried. Ben Alford moved the family to Eastland in 1924, where his brother Monroe lived.
